Survival Games' Performance on Android in Q1 2021: A Sensor Tower Report

The survival game genre remains a popular choice among mobile gamers, and the first quarter of 2021 was no exception. Sensor Tower's data gives us a closer look at how the top five survival games performed on the Android platform in the US during this period.

Last Day on Earth: Survival, published by KEFIR from Russia, showed a decreasing trend in both weekly downloads, dropping from 22K to 10K, and active users, falling from 87K to 58K. Revenue also saw a decline from $186K in the last week of December to $142K by the end of March.

Identity V by NetEase Games, with its unique gothic art style, experienced a fluctuating revenue pattern with a peak of $112K in late February, eventually stabilizing at $84K by March's end. Downloads and weekly active users also saw a general decline, with downloads descending slightly from 4K to 4K and active users from 38K to 42K.

KEFIR's Frostborn: Action RPG witnessed a varied revenue trend with an eventual increase to $66K. Downloads peaked at 13K in early February, followed by a decrease to 6K, while active users saw an overall increase from 16K to 14K during the quarter.

Westland Survival: Cowboy Game by Helio Games from Cyprus showed a steady increase in revenue, reaching $47K by the end of Q1. The game's downloads saw a peak of 12K in mid-January before declining to 5K, and active users also decreased from 40K to 29K.

Lastly, Dawn of Zombies: Survival Game by Royal Ark displayed an upward trend in revenue, finishing the quarter at $28K. The game’s downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 3K, while active users showed a slight decline from 9K to 7K.
